Architect James Maynard earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2000. He is a registered architect in North Carolina and has over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial projects. What James loves most about his work is how he can transform abandoned and forgotten buildings into a new use. This is the main reason why he founded REDCLAY DESIGN in 2008.
OWNER & ARCHITECT
Andrew received his B. Arch from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2002. Throughout his eighteen years of experience he has focused on housing, preservation, and sustainability. In 2009 Andrew moved to New Orleans to pursue national service through AmeriCorps. Following his service he continued his work with sustainable architecture and old buildings through architectural practice. Andrew joined REDCLAY DESIGN in 2021.
Rachel received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the College of Charleston in South Carolina in 2020. In addition to a semester studying design in Italy, she later got her certification for interior design through the New York Institute of Art and Design. Throughout her studies, Rachel developed a strong passion for bringing old buildings and their stories back to life. Rachel joined REDCLAY DESIGN in 2022.
Sara received her Bachelor of Science degree in Building Science and Architectural Design from Appalachian State University in 2021.Community and sustainable design are the core values sara has built her passion upon. What she loves most about her work is the strategic problem solving that is unique to every design build. Sara joined REDCLAY DESIGN in 2022.
